Japan is ruled by a constitutional monarchy and is an island in East Asia. It is located in the Pacific Ocean.
The capital of Japan is Tokyo, which is an important city of tourism. Japan doesn’t have an official language because it is an union of many languages but the national language is japanese.
The culture in Japan currently is very diverse and the people in Japan is characterized by the personal respect among the people. The population in Japan is about 126,740,000 of people.
The main religion in Japan is shinto and buddhist.
The samurai is the traditional martial art and the traditional foods are sushi, tempura, noodles, and teriyaki but the Japanese diet consists principally of rice; fresh, lean seafood; and pickled or boiled vegetables.
Japan means "sun origin", It is pronounced Nihon or Nippon and is often referred to by the famous epithet "Land of the Rising Sun" in reference to its Japanese name.
Japan has a total of 6,852 islands extending along the Pacific coast of East Asia. The main islands, from north to south, are Hokkaido, Honshu, okinawa, Shikoku and Kyushu, but the most important island is Honshu.
About 73 percent of Japan is forested, mountainous, and unsuitable for agricultural, industrial, or residential use. Japan has over 90,000 species of wildlife, including the brown bear, the Japanese macaque, the Japanese raccoon dog, the Large Japanese Field Mouse, and the Japanese giant salamander.
